A few tips on how to make the Tracker work for you:
Content Performance
We know - it's a MASSIVE spreadsheet. You may not need all the filtering, so feel free to disregard what you don't need by making those columns invisible. 😶🌫️
For example, if you're addicted to using emojis and you frankly don't care how your audience responds to them, click on the respective column, right-click, HIDE, and poof, it's gone. You never have to see that again! 🌬️
You can customize dropdowns, too! 🤯 Let's say that you want to AB test whether posting at 08:30 AM is better than at 08:00 AM, but 08:30 AM currently isn't an option. Here's what you should do: click on any dropdown cell from D8 downward, then click on the pencil symbol at the bottom.
Now it shows you how your dropdown options. You can delete some, add some others, and edit them however you please. Once you've made your changes, click on "Done" at the bottom right-hand of the screen. Now make sure you apply that same dropdown setup wherever you need to.
Now, onto formatting. The data in columns Q to V will appear in lilac if it's higher than 75% of the data in that same column. If a post gets more than half of the metrics in the 75% percentile, you get a gold star in column W. You can pat yourself on the back. You're doing splendidly well! 🤩
What you see in the file is dummy data. We put it there to show you how your spreadsheet would look like in a number of situations.
Be careful not to delete the content of the sparkle emoji columns, ✨ as those have special formulas in them. We even protected some of them for you.
Our tip? Copy the spreadsheet and use the new one. That way, you can always refer to the original one if you make a mistake and alter things too much.
Follower Growth
If you gain more than 500 followers between two dates, you'll get a unicorn sticker in column C, because you're THAT cool. 🦄
500 new followers are A LOT, though, and we believe smaller wins should be celebrated, too. Feel free to change that by clicking on cell D9 and replacing "500" with a number that makes sense to you, say, "100." Press enter. Once that's done, click on cell D9 and drag it down to the right side to ensure your updated formula applies to the entirety of column D. Et voilà. 🎀
Hook Length Calculator
Insert your hook in column A, and specify whether it's a text-only post or it includes media (be it visual, video assets, or a document) in column B.
Our formula will automatically tell you if your hook's good to go or if it could use some shortening. ✂️
Ideally, your hook's short enough that it doesn't get cut on mobile. If you achieve that, column F will tell you to go for it. Congratulations on a job well done! 🌺
